About – Yellowly

"In my works, she presents figures and portraits to the viewer with a post-modern approach by creating an order within herself with a geometric abstraction approach. Her images as portraits, beyond being any element of the paintings, need to blend into the cosmos of the painting like other abstract elements. She paints in a harmonious composition without separating the concrete and abstract elements she tries to express."

Corona Days Series

The pandemic process has caused people to question their values and lifestyles. It changed the flow of our lives, our habits. We moved our working environments to homes and this brought many challenges. It has created a digital environment that we are trying to adapt to quickly. In our own shelter, we established maximum communication with the outside in a minimum space. New era home-office formations were established. However, we reviewed once again how effective our workspaces are on our mental activity. In this context, we took refuge in secret rooms hidden in paintings. During the pandemic, painting has always been with me in the process of creating new worlds in our rooms. By combining the feeling of not being able to leave the house and being stuck with the concept of room, I communicated with the outside world through the language of painting and reflected this idea in my paintings.

Portrait Series

The portrait translates emotions into sign language. The face that chooses expressions of happiness, anger, sadness reveals the secrets of a lifelong person's emotional world. While the portrait deciphers a piece of the mystery of the mysterious, it turns into the art of awakening the perception that it is hidden in other unknown gems. The portrait measures the depth of the model, sometimes adding new depths to the model that it does not have.
